Where we are and what makes us different

Our location is the departure point for adventures through mountains, villages, waterfalls and off-road trails.

Dirty Monkey Adventure has been operating since December 2022, offering adventure experiences in Puerto Vallarta focused on off-road rides, nature and small groups.

Since then we've welcomed visitors from around the world looking for a different way to discover the Sierra Madre.

We're not just an ATV or RZR tour. Our experiences combine adventure, natural landscapes and guided routes that may include:

We also work with small groups and highly trained guides to offer a more personalized experience.

The tour starts from our facilities in Paso Ancho. If you booked through our website, transportation is included and you'll be able to select an available pickup point in the Pick Ups section.

Bookings, payments & policies

How to book, pay and our conditions

Yes. We recommend booking early to ensure availability, especially during holidays and peak seasons.

Yes. If you purchase directly through our website, the tour is paid in full, since we reserve the vehicle, time slot and space for your experience.

You can modify or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled date.

Yes. All routes booked directly through our website include transportation, regardless of the number of people. You just need to select your available pickup point.

Yes. All vehicles require mandatory insurance, separate from the tour cost:

Yes. Before the tour, all participants must sign a liability waiver as part of our safety protocols.

Adventure details

Routes, duration and what to expect

It depends on the kind of experience you're looking for:

Villages Route — Ideal for those who want to drive longer and get to know the mountains and local communities.
Snorkel Combo — Perfect to combine adventure between mountain and beach.
Hot Springs Route — A great family option to enjoy hot springs and visit the deer.
Monkey Route — Our most classic experience: mountains, viewpoints, waterfalls and natural pools.
Zip Line Combo — The best choice for those seeking adrenaline by land and air.

The duration depends on the chosen experience. We have tours of approximately 3 to 4 hours, plus combined experiences.

No. Many visitors drive for the first time with us. Before departing we explain how the vehicle works, safety rules and basic recommendations.

It depends on the route and the season:

Rainy season: more mud, vegetation, puddles and water.
Dry season: more dust, faster trails and less water.

Yes. We operate all year long and each season completely transforms the tour.

Yes. We make stops at various scenic spots so you can enjoy the scenery and take pictures.

Safety

Minimum age, licenses and protocols

The minimum age to drive an ATV or RZR is 18 years old. You'll need to present:

  • A valid driver's license, or
  • An official permit issued by a government authority

Yes. Without a valid license, the vehicle's insurance provides no coverage in case of an accident.

RZR: 4 years
ATV: 6 years

ATV / Quad bikes: yes, a helmet is mandatory.

RZR / UTV: not mandatory, as they have seat belts.

Our guides are trained in first aid and follow care protocols to respond to any situation. Safety is always the priority.

For safety reasons, we do not recommend off-road activities during pregnancy.

Photos & memories

Capture your experience

Yes. You can bring a phone, camera or GoPro. However, we recommend the driver stays focused on driving and avoids recording while driving.

Yes. We have professional photographers who capture photos and videos during the experience, plus an edited video of the tour.

If you'll use a Pick Up
We recommend being ready 10 minutes before your assigned time.

Yes. If you arrive in your own vehicle, you'll find free spaces around our facilities.
