This experience is designed for travelers looking for real off-road driving beyond the traditional tourist areas. Along the route, you will travel through exclusive trails, cross sections of the river and enjoy time to cool off in a peaceful natural setting when weather and river conditions permit.
The expedition also includes an authentic tequila and artisanal mezcal tasting, accompanied by a traditional handmade tortilla experience that connects you with the flavors and culture of the region.
This is not just a sightseeing tour. It is a complete off-road experience combining adventure, nature, local traditions and professional guidance.
Important departure information
This expedition begins at our adventure base in Nayarit. It does not depart from the Dirty Monkey Adventure office in Puerto Vallarta.
Round-trip transportation is available from designated pickup locations in Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Nayarit, Bucerías, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and the Punta de Mita area. Guests must select and confirm their pickup location during the reservation process.

- Arrive at your pickup point at least 10–15 minutes before the scheduled time.

- Secure personal belongings before beginning the expedition.
- Drivers must present a valid driver’s license or driving permit.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years old.
- Passengers must be at least 4 years old.
- Minors require authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
- All participants must sign the corresponding waiver before departure.
- Drivers and passengers must follow all safety instructions provided by the guides.
- Seat belts must remain fastened while the vehicle is moving.
- Participants must be physically able to enter and exit the RZR safely.
- Guests must arrive at the selected pickup location at the time indicated in their reservation.
- Maximum combined weight per RZR is 880 lb.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Pregnant guests may not participate.
- Reckless driving, drifting, racing or intentionally leaving the designated route is prohibited.
- Participants must remain with the group and follow the guide’s pace.
- Changing drivers is only permitted with guide authorization.
- Every person who wishes to drive must present a valid driver’s license or permit.
- The activity may not be suitable for guests with serious back, neck, heart or mobility conditions.
- The route may change because of weather, river levels or safety considerations.
- Food, additional drinks, souvenirs and professional photographs are not included unless otherwise stated.
- Mandatory collision protection is not included in the online payment and must be paid at check-in.
- Collision protection costs $30 USD per RZR.
- This expedition does not depart from the Dirty Monkey Adventure office in Puerto Vallarta.
Is the price per person or per RZR?
The price is per RZR vehicle according to its seating capacity. It is not charged separately for every passenger occupying the same vehicle.

The expedition begins at our adventure base in Nayarit. It does not depart from the Dirty Monkey Adventure office in Puerto Vallarta.
Is round-trip transportation included?
Yes. Round-trip transportation is available from the designated pickup locations shown during the booking process. Guests must select the correct pickup point when making their reservation.
Can two guests take turns driving?
Yes. Eligible participants may switch drivers during the expedition with guide authorization. Every driver must meet the age requirement and present a valid driver’s license or permit.
Is this a private tour?
The expedition travels through exclusive and private-access trails, but the departure is not automatically private. Private departures may be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
Will we get wet or muddy?
It is possible. Dust, mud, water and river crossings may be part of the experience depending on the season and current conditions.
Is swimming in the river guaranteed?
The expedition normally includes time to cool off in the river when water levels, weather and safety conditions permit. Access may vary by season.
What should I bring?
Bring closed-toe shoes, a swimsuit, towel, dry clothes, an extra pair of shoes, biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent and extra money for personal expenses.
Is collision protection included?
No. Mandatory collision protection costs $30 USD per RZR and is paid at check-in.
